~*~ Flowers ~*~

~*~ Bows, Bows & More Bows ~*~

*~*~*Some Other New Additions*~*~*

A great friend of mine always says, "Go big or go home..." Come on, you know who you are...don't blush. I couldn't resist putting this enormous peony on Mia's adorable little tutu. Does it get any girlier than this?
By the way, did I mention that I was never a "girly girl" as I child? I would come home in ripped jeans and covered in mud despite my mother's best efforts to steer me towards rhinestone covered, ruffled dresses. (Although I do remember a favorite pair of red leather cowboy boots around age 4- I really wish I still had those!!!) I preferred soccer over ballet but eventually I realized I could be a tomboy and still love hair accessories, jewelry, shoes and purses. So if you keep following this you might even see some new trends- like rhinestone covered soccer balls. All I know is I will never forget the weaved ribbon barrettes with the streamers I wore almost every day  throughout most of first grade and I think I looked pretty cute- even if I had bangs.  Maybe someday my Princess will remember her bows and smile like I do ;)

*~*~*A Few More*~*~*

I just can't get enough of these headbands. You'll be seeing a lot more of them...what else can I say?

*Preview*

OK, so anyone who knows me knows I'm not very good with surprises. Quite frankly, I'm shocked I haven't given my kids their Christmas presents yet, but then I'd have to go get more and we definitely have no room for that.
So back to the point, one of my new projects which I am really excited about is headbands. I adore them for children and for adults, they are easy to wear and can be dressy or casual.
Here's my first one, but there will definitely be more to follow....

*~*~* Models *~*~*

My adorable models and little friends wearing my accessories. Please feel free to email me your photos of your little models wearing Sweet Serendipity bows and accessories so I can add them here. (SweetSerendipityBows@gmail.com) Of course they always look even cuter in use.....

*~*~*The Beginning*~*~*

When my daughter was born a little over two years ago, every one gushed about how cute she was and how amazingly similar she looked to her brother. Despite the many girly outfits she wore, people still asked "Is the baby a boy or girl?" So needless to say, I searched high and low for the perfect little clips for her mop of black hair. I found some pretty cute ones but none that really hit me and none that were perfect or unique. The colors were never just right for her outfits or they were overdone, too boring, too big, too small...you get the idea.
At about the same time, like most new moms, I spent a great deal of time awake in the middle of the night. I spent it trying to think of something I could do from home around my childrens' nap times, play time, meal times- you know the never ending cycle that- let's face it- can get a little monotonotous no matter how much love every precious moment of looking into those adorable little faces.
It finally hit me, the old adage, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
And there it began...one of those late night epiphanies, "Why am I not making her bows?" I like to think I am creative, dreamed of majoring in art in college only to be "strongly persuaded" to reconsider and pursue my degree in Business (which I don't regret). I was able to squeeze in few art classes and hoped one day I could make a little career out of combining both my passion for creating something fun and my Business degree from Villanova University.
So a hobby that fulfilled my need for a creative outlet between cleaning, feeding, burping, bathing, reading and playing has suddenly grown into something a bit more and I am hoping you and your little ones will all love them as much as I do!
I love feedback and look forward to hearing any and all comments, suggestions and special requests.
Right now my accessories are available at Bellies & Booties in Lawrenceville, NJ, Luxaby Baby in Princeton, NJ and Julianna's Closet in Robbinsville, NJ. Please check them out. The women who own these stores have been wonderful to me and have motivated me to create new and adorable ways to accessorize their beautiful clothes.
I am working on some new ideas right now that I am excited to share once I perfect them so keep checking!
